The Garden at the Grange

We are currently re-designing the front garden at The Grange. The residents have made drawings of how they feel the garden should be designed and we are going to invite Steven Hunter and Linda Hunter to come along and judge the winner. There will also be a small ceremony and buffet to mark the occasion. It is then hoped to enlist people who could come and gives us their time to help us get started.

Investors in People

The managing director, operations manager and all home managers completed they first 3 days introduction training in Investors in People. They spent the 3 days at the Sunderland Business Park where they were introduced to the fundamentals surrounding the IIP standards, how to implement those standards and how best to involve the staff in the process of quality development.

The operations manager (Yvonne Mcphee) said about the training ‘it highlights that the work we have already undertaken in terms of driving up the quality of the services is on the right track and emphasises that in order to improve and maintain quality services, we have to develop and invest in our people'.

The plan is that SCNE Ltd should be accredited within 12 months.
